Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad Mounir Ben Rjiba held a meeting on Thursday at the ministry's headquarters with Malta's Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Christopher Cutajar, who is on a working visit to Tunisia from July 17 to 19. The meeting fosued on the historical friendship between Tunisia and Malta and the commitment of both nations to enhance cooperation through high-level exchanges and the preparation of bilateral meetings. The 12th Tunisia-Malta Joint Commission is expected to be organised later this year, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including employment, renewable energy, and water resource management. The Maltese official expressed his country's willingness to share its expertise in water management with Tunisia.
