Tunisia has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that took place in Mali on Thursday, which resulted in numerous victims, including civilians and military personnel killed and wounded. In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad expressed its deep condemnation of these heinous acts, expressed its solidarity with the families of the victims and the wounded and reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Republic of Mali in its fight against terrorism. Tunisia stressed the urgent need for concerted efforts by various actors within the international community to combat terrorism and address its root causes. According to the Malian government, 64 people, including 15 soldiers, lost their lives on Thursday in two terrorist attacks claimed by the Al-Qaeda-linked group "Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen". The attacks targeted a passenger boat and a military base in the north of the country.
