Tunis: Tunisian athlete Senda Garma clinched the gold medal in the hammer throw, achieving a distance of 59.53 meters and setting a new personal record on Tuesday during the third day of the Arab U-23 Championships held in Ismailia, Egypt. Meanwhile, Islam Kthiri secured the bronze medal in the pole vault after previously winning silver in the heptathlon event. Tunisia's total medal count at the championships is therefore up to 8 (1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze). Tunisia is represented by eight athletes: Rihab Dhahri (1500m and 3000m steeplechase), Oussama Farhat, Rayen Cherni, Maissa Boughdir (10,000m race walk), Chaima Chouikh and Ghofrane Lahmaedi (discus throw and shot put), Islam Kthiri (heptathlon), and Senda Garma (hammer throw).
