Tunisia bagged two prizes at the fourth edition of the Amman International Film Festival (August 15-22). Ashkal, Youssef Chebbi's first feature film, clinched the Black Iris Award for the best Arab feature film (fiction), while Nejib Kthiri's Trinou (Train) won the Jury Award for Arab short films. Five Tunisian films were shortlisted in the three official competitions of the festival: Youssef Chebbi's Ashkal (Feature Film Competition), Yassine Redissi's "Je Reviendrai Là-Bas" (Feature Documentary Competition), Nejib Kthiri's Trinou, Mourad Kalai's Awama and Ihsen Kammoun's Road El Kef (Arab Competition for Short Films). Four Tunisians were picked to serve as members of jury, namely filmmaker Raja Amari in the feature film competition, actress, director and producer Afef Ben Mahmoud (Arab Short Film Competition), Hend Bouhaouala at the Fipresci Prize jury and Mehdi Hmili in the Amman Film Industry Days jury.
